Why You Should Take A Thinking Trip
It’s very hard to focus in the modern world.

But most good things come from focus.

To help with focus, I highly recommend that you take what I call a Thinking Trip.

The point is to reset your mind to focus and remove all distraction.

Science says that humans are happiest when we are in an environment with open grasslands, water, trees and that the brain relaxes best when it’s in a natural setting.

How to Take a Thinking Trip

1. Travel 100 miles away from where you live, to a place that has good scenery.

2. Bring lots of books.

3. Bring a laptop.

4. And bring one project that you’re working on.

Don’t text a lot. Don’t go on social media.

Just think.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, you have to think. Use your brain.

You don’t need to have a Ph.D from a university. But you do have to use your brain at a Ph.D level, which means focused thought.

It’s not about book smarts, but it is about brain smarts.

Think.

This is a fantastic idea. I do this by house sitting for my siblings when they are travelling. I am helping them and helping myself. I am very fortunate to be able to do this.

The comment on savannah rings true to me. I will take this suggestion. Taking a PC requires an "outdoor" friendly screen. My ThinkPad has an anti-glare screen and can be seen in reasonable sunlight but my Yoga Pro is far too reflective to use outside unfortunately.

Excellent insight, Tai. If nothing else, a trip such as this is like hitting F5 (refresh) for your brain.

Can the 67 Steps work for a recently retired school principal and counselor of 30 years??? My story: I'm ready to really live. I'm one of those who was "lied to". I felt like there should be more to life, I just didn't know how to go about it. I climbed the ladder in my work, from teacher to counselor to principal/administrator always to make more money, but never got anywhere close to health, wealth, and happiness. Will Tai's practices work for me or are my most productive years over? I'm not ready to be "retired".
