What Warren Buffett Taught Me

You learn the most from going straight to the top.

I went to see Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, and Bill Gates last weekend at the Berkshire Hathaway meeting.

The notes I took during their 8 hour talk are some of the most valuable I have ever written down - I'll share some of those notes with you over the next couple of months.

But it's not always what your mentors say that matter.

It's also what they do. Actions speak volumes about someone's mindset.

So here is a photo I took outside Warren Buffett's house.

Here's the 3rd richest man in the world's house and mini van haha.

Not what you would expect.

Warren Buffett lives in the same house he bought 50 years ago.

It's all about opportunity cost and sticking to what you know.

Buffett spends his money buying businesses, not houses, because he understands business more than real estate.

He also says he likes simplicity in most things, but he does have a guilty, materialistic pleasure - his private jet.

There is a lot to be learned from that simple photo...

Warren Buffet is surely a man to listen to. I have seen him in interviews on the tube and was very impressed with how down to earth he is.
